Series Finale:

What a sloppy and boring game from the Brewers perspective. Dexter Fowler kicked off the game with a leadoff double, moved to third on a Jonathan Villar error when Jhoulys Chacin tried to pick him off at second and then scored on a routine grounder to Travis Shaw at third base. The sequence of events pretty much set the tone for the Brewers who committed three errors in the game.

The Cardinals tapped in two more runs in the third, before a Yadier Molina solo shot in the fourth gave St. Louis a 4-0 lead:

Molina added another RBI to his night on a sacrifice fly in the sixth and the Cardinals also tacked on another run in the inning to take a 6-0 lead. One that would hold the whole game thanks to brilliant pitching from Carlos Martinez.

Martinez tossed 8.1 innings while recording 10 strikeouts and holding the Brewers to only four hits.

The lack of offensive production is why this slide looks so different than the other two. I’m sorry, Brewers’ fans, but there really isn’t anything I can put in here.
