5. Shabazz Muhammad has handles.

The newly acquire Shabazz Muhammad has appeared to find a nice groove with the Bucks, averaging 8.1 points in 9.9 minutes per game on 60.9 percent shooting.

At 6-foot-6, he has the skill set to play power forward, but the body type to play small forward. This tweener status has caused him, and many others, problems in the NBA and makes his fit on any team an awkward one.

Fortunately, on the following play, he was able to show off some of his little-known ball-handling skills and puts the Lakers’ big man on skates:

Muhammad begins the play with the ball on top of the key and for some reason, his defender is worried about the outside shot. Bazz starts with a less-to-right cross that initially catches his man off guard and gets him on skates. He then holds a nasty hesitation move before crossing back over right-to-left and gathering toward the rim as he lays the ball in off the glass with his dominant left hand.

Although this may not be a rim-rocker, it’s the type of play that makes you appreciate the time and effort these guys put in on a daily basis, as this isn’t a move your pick-up basketballer could complete.
