Game Three: Wednesday, April 4. 6:40 PM CT. Fox Sports Wisconsin

Probably Starters: Carlos Martinez (RHP) vs Jhoulys Chacin (LHP)

The Brewers will see their third consecutive right-handed pitcher when they face off against the Cardinals’ ace Carlos Martinez on Wednesday night. Martinez was roughed up in 4.1 innings of work in their season opener, allowing four earned runs on four hits and six walks against the New York Mets. He’ll look to bounce back, as he’s a better pitcher than what he showed in that outing.

Meanwhile, Jhoulys Chacin will be looking to bounce back after a rough Brewers’ debut which saw him give up four earned runs on seven hits, including two home runs, and two walks in only 3.1 innings last Friday.

If the Brewers offense can be patient with Martinez and make him prove he can throw strikes, it could be a good night for Milwaukee. Eric Thames, who got the start in the series finale against the Padres, could be the player to watch in this one.

Miller Park will certainly be packed for this Wednesday night game and the Brewers should be able to feed off the crowd’s frenzy to earn a victory in the series finale.
