The Dallas Mavericks lack a superstar and would give anything to acquire one. Do they have enough to entice Milwaukee to part ways with Jabari Parker.

Off The Table-

  • Dirk Nowitzki- Milwaukee has no need for the 38-year-old forward. Now just a shell of his former self, its a shame he will finish his career on a poor team.
  • Harrison Barnes- Dallas will not part ways with their top player. Now out from the shadows of Steph Curry and Klay Thompson, Barnes is averaging over 20 ppg. The Mavericks are looking to build around him not replace.

Possibilities-

  • Wesley Matthews- Bringing Matthews back to Milwaukee would be a popular move amongst fans but would not be worth the money. Set to turn 30 and having already suffered a major injury, adding the former Golden Eagle would be a big risk.
  • Deron Williams- If the Bucks felt there was a chance to be more than Eastern Conference’s eighth seed, taking a chance on Williams would be worth it. Set to be an unrestricted free agent, Milwaukee could part ways with a 2nd round pick in order to add point-guard depth.

Best Case Scenario

The Bucks acquire Deron Williams for a 2nd round pick. Williams moves into the starting lineup and builds upon his season average of 7 assists per game.
