Milwaukee Bucks: League Wide Trade Options- Atlanta To Detroit
By Joe Kiemen
The Bulls have disappointed after signing Dwayne Wade, Rajon Rondo and Robin Lopez over the off-season. The rift between Rajon Rondo and teammates, Dwayne Wade and Jimmy Butler suggest Chicago would be willing to make a move.
Off The Table-
With the current mess taking place, the Bulls would be unwise to keep anyone out of trade discussions.
Possibilities-
- Jimmy Butler- Sticking to the theme of bringing back home talent, pairing Butler with Giannis Antetokounmpo would give the Bucks one of the league’s top combos. Acquiring him would require sending Jabari Parker to Chicago and some salary cap maneuvering. Butler is under contract for three more seasons but for a hefty price. The Bucks could get creative and throw in Miles Plumlee or John Henson. In return, they would get Taj Gibson and his expiring contract.
- Dwayne Wade- After reportedly meeting with Bucks ownership this off-season, a potential deal has mutual interest on its side. However, with the Bucks below .500 and not a lock to make the playoffs it is unlikely the team brings in Wade.
- Rajon Rondo- It is now clear that Rondo is not working in Chicago. Therefore, the Bucks should capitalize by acquiring him for cheap. The Bucks could send John Henson to Chicago and allow Rondo to be mentored by Jason Kidd. Although, fixing the log jam at center would only create one at point-guard.
Best Case Scenario
The Bucks trade John Henson to the Chicago Bulls for Rajon Rondo. Jason Kidd would have the remainder of this season and next to save Rondo’s sputtering career.
