3. Jermichael Finley (2008-13)
The Green Bay Packers selected Texas tight end Jermichael Finley in the third round of the 2008 NFL Draft and after a one-year apprenticeship, he developed into a dynamic playmaker.
Finley posted more than 50 catches three times in six seasons with the Pack, capped by 61 grabs in 2012. In 2011, he posted career highs of 767 receiving yards and eight touchdown catches.
He missed the playoffs during the Packers’ Super Bowl run in 2010 because of a knee injury.
Finley sustained a spinal cord injury in 2013 and was not signed as a free agent in 2014.
While not officially retired, Finley’s career is likely finished after just six seasons. He had 223 receptions for 2,785 yards and 20 touchdowns.
