Green Bay Packers: Brett Favre’s Top 10 Memorable Games As A Packer
By Dan Kasper
5. No..no…YES! – Dec. 18, 1994
The Packers were facing the Atlanta Falcons in what was the last Packer game at County Stadium in Milwaukee and Favre gave the Milwaukee crowd and the stadium quite the send-off.
In the second-to-last game of the year, the Packers needed a victory to keep their playoff hopes alive.
The Packers blew a 14-3 lead after the first quarter and were down 17-14 late in the fourth quarter.
The Packers drove down to the Falcons 9-yard line when the Packers called their final timeout. With 21 seconds remaining, Favre lined up the offense on third-and-2. Favre took the snap, quickly scanned the field, rolled to his right and started running to the corner of the end zone.
Fans and teammates were no doubt shouting “NO!” or “GET OUT OF BOUNDS!”
Instead, it was followed by a bunch of cheers and “YES!” as Favre dove for the end zone, just making it across the goal line. The Packers would go on to win the game and they would win the following week against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to secure a playoff berth.
