Gerardo Parra has won Gold Glove awards as a left fielder and a right fielder, but since coming to the Brewers has been the fourth option in the outfield behind Khris Davis, Carlos Gomez and Ryan Braun.
Parra has been a valuable fill-in this season, playing a lot in center field while Gomez was on the mend and now seeing a lot of left field with Davis out following knee surgery.
He’s hitting .278/.313/.439 in 61 games, with 13 doubles, four homers and 17 RBI.
Signed to a $6.237 million deal for this year, the 28-year-old can be a free agent for the first time this winter and since he will likely be looking for a place where he can return to being an everyday player, moving Parra for something now might be beneficial for the Brewers.
