4.) The pressure of perfection

Last year’s game saw Kentucky as just a lowly eighth seed that had an average regular season and exceeded all expectations by reaching the national championship game.

The story around this Kentucky team is just a little bit different.

Right now the Wildcats are 38-0 and are looking to end the year with making their mark in the history books by ending the season undefeated.

Even before the year started, pundits were discussing the possibility of this stacked Kentucky team running the table.  For the past four plus months, everyone has watched in anticipation.  Will this team actually run the table?  When will they falter?

Now, with only two games to go, the previous hypothetical is turning into the real possibility.  More eyes are on this Kentucky team.  I’m sure the team has felt, faced, and overcame the pressures that faced them throughout the season.  But this final stage, the Final Four stage, is their ultimate test.

One has to wonder if the ultimate pressure of capping off an undefeated season will finally catch up to this young bunch.  Only time will tell.
