House moves to Jacksonville

Cornerback Davon House is leaving Green Bay as an unrestricted free agent, reportedly signing a four-year deal with the Jacksonville Jaguars that will pay between $6 million and $6.25 million per year, according to the Green Bay Press-Gazette.

House had one interception and 10 passes defensed last season while making 31 tackles and forcing a fumble.

In four years with the Packers, House had two picks and 27 passes defensed. He was a fourth-round pick out of New Mexico State in 2011. By going to the Jags, House reunites with Jacksonville secondary coach DeWayne Walker, who was the head coach of the Aggies when House played there, and his former position coach with New Mexico State, Mike Rutenburg.

House is leaving a winning situation in Green Bay to be part of a rebuild in Jacksonville, but they are paying him to come in and start, something he did not do regularly with the Packers.

House started 14 games in four seasons in Green Bay—including four in 2014.
