Sunday, Jan. 4: Milwaukee Bucks at New York Knicks
Oh, those poor Knicks. New York was 5-30 before their contest with Milwaukee Sunday night, so as a Bucks fan I was just hoping to get a win. Milwaukee delivered and dropped New York to 5-31.
The Bucks beat the Knicks 95-82.
Milwaukee had five players score double digits Sunday night, including four starters. Giannis Antetokounmpo, Brandon Knight, Zaza Pachulia, Johnny O’Bryant, and Kendall Marshall all scored at least 10 points.
Milwaukee got a spark from Marshall Sunday night coming off the bench. Marshall scored 15 points and was an efficient 6-of-8 from the field.
Sunday night was also another big night for Giannis. He scored 16 points, added 12 rebounds, went 6-of-9 from the field, and showcased his improved shooting again.
While it was a nice win for Milwaukee, the Knicks were nowhere near full strength.
New York was missing key players including Carmelo Anthony, Amar’e Stoudemire and Iman Shumpert.
But hey, it’s the NBA and you have to take wins anyway you can get them.
The win put Milwaukee at 18-17 for the season. The Bucks next game is Tuesday night at home against the Phoenix Suns.
