Sunday, Dec. 7: Milwaukee Bucks at Dallas Mavericks

The rematch between these two teams favored Dallas a little more on paper.  The game was at the American Airlines Center, and they got Dirk Nowitzki back after he was held out for rest in the first meeting.  These changes ended up favoring Dallas on the scoreboard as well.

The Mavericks defeated Milwaukee 125-102.

This game saw Milwaukee trying to claw back from about the end of the first quarter on.  If you watched the game, it was pretty easy to tell why Milwaukee lost.  If you were just glancing at the stat sheet, it could be a different story.

If I told you that all five Milwaukee starters scored in double digits, they broke even in rebounds, and had 30 more points in the paint, it would be hard to believe they still lost by 23 points.

While those stats are all true, Dallas’ starters shot the lights out of the American Airlines Center Sunday night.

Chandler Parsons led the game with 28 points on 11-of-14 shooting including 4-of-6 from three.

Between Dallas’ Monta Ellis, Dirk Nowitzki, and Chandler Parsons, they scored 68 points on 26-of-39 shooting.

This game was never really that close, despite nice nights from Giannis (18 pts on 8-11 shooting) and Jabari (15 pts five boards).

The loss dropped Milwaukee to 11-11.

Next week Milwaukee only has two games; in Oklahoma City Tuesday night and at home against the Los Angeles Clippers Saturday night.
