Fourth Round

No. 121 overall: Russell Bodine, C, North Carolina
Bodine, at a shade taller than 6-foot-3 and 310 pounds, was very durable, starting 24 games over his final two years at North Carolina.

He’s got the size teams want in a center, with above average speed and hand size.

Bodine shows a lot of toughness on film and displays a nasty side, constantly mixing it up in the trenches and looks to finish and clean up piles at the end of plays. He needs to get that under control, however, and learn the difference between finishing a play and taking cheap shots—he was hit with a huge personal foul penalty late in the fourth quarter, killing a drive in a loss to Duke last season.

He has a quick first step and knows where to put his helmet, firing off the snap with proper leverage, but he’s not terribly athletic and can struggle to make good blocks in space.
