Third Round
No. 96 overall: Marcel Jensen, TE, Fresno State
Jensen had 26 catches for 353 yards and three touchdowns as a senior for the Bulldogs last season and has above-average size for the position at 6-foot-5¾ and 259 pounds.
Jensen is a solid blocker with a lot of upside as a route runner because of his athleticism, but he is far from a polished receiver in that regard. He has decent hands, but will have the occasional dropped pass, but doesn’t have explosive leaping ability so could struggle in one-on-one jump ball situations.
He’s athletic enough to pick up first downs in the middle of the field when he has room to run after the catch, but showed trouble consistently creating yards on his own.
As a special teams performer, he blocked four kicks in his collegiate career.
