Seventh Round
No. 236 overall: Bennett Jackson, CB, Notre Dame
Jackson was a leader for the Fighting Irish and had two interceptions, 59 tackles and a sack last season, but lacks recovery speed if caught out of position—he’s more quick than fast.
He shows better instincts in zone coverage than he does in man-to-man, but recognizes the run quickly.
In coverage, perhaps his biggest flaw is a tendency to look back for the ball and lose contact with his receiver, a problem that gets magnified against bigger wideouts.
