The San Antonio Spurs opened a 12-point first quarter lead in the first round of the Las Vegas Summer League tournament against the Milwaukee Bucks Wednesday night at the Thomas & Mack Center and never slowed down.
The Spurs crushed the Bucks 100-71, leading 54-34 by halftime.
But Parker turned the ball over seven times and the Greek Freak coughed it up six times as Milwaukee gave the ball away 22 times in all.
Second-round pick Johnny O’Bryant finished with nine points and C.J. Williams tossed in eight.
All 14 players who saw action for San Antonio got in the scoring column. The Spurs (3-1) were led by first-round pick Kyle Anderson, who scored 14 points. Former Marquette guard Vander Blue added 12 points off the bench and Marcus Denmon recorded 11 points, also in a reserve role.
The Bucks aren’t done with Summer League play just yet. They will close out league play with a consolation game on Friday at 3:30 p.m. Central against the Golden State Warriors, who lost Wednesday to the Atlanta Hawks, 68-65.
The Spurs advance to the round of 16, where they will play the Utah Jazz Thursday at 5:30 p.m. Central.
