Second-year point guard Nate Wolters was aggressive Sunday night as the Milwaukee Bucks played their second game in the Las Vegas Summer League, driving and dishing his way to 16 points and four assists, but the Bucks were blitzed in the fourth quarter in a 93-82 loss to the Phoenix Suns at Cox.
The Bucks are now 0-2 in the round-robin phase of the league and have won 3½ quarters of the eight they have played.
Milwaukee had an eight-point lead heading into the final period after outscoring the Suns 26-11 in the third quarter, but Phoenix roared back to outpace the Bucks 35-16 over the final 10 minutes.
Here are the highlights of the action:
Wolters was 5-for-10 from the floor and 5-of-6 from the line and committed only one turnover in the game. Giannis Antetokounmpo also scored 16 points, but was just 4-for-11 from the floor.
Second overall pick Jabari Parker struggled in his 29 minutes, going 4-for-15 and finishing with 11 points and six turnovers. He did grab a team-high 11 rebounds, however.
Seth Curry went off for the Suns, scoring a game-high 26 points—including hitting 5-of-7 from long range. Archie Goodwin added 17 points and three steals, Elias Harris had 14 points and Dionte Christmas scored 12. Miles Plumlee finished with only six points, but had 12 rebounds and a two-handed rejection of a Parker dunk attempt at the rim.
The Bucks wrap up round-robin play at 9:30 p.m. Central Monday, facing the Utah Jazz at the Thomas & Mack Center.
